About this Course
Turn everyday math practice into a fun Minecraft adventure! In this engaging course, children explore early math concepts through building, counting, comparing, and problem-solving in a Minecraft world. From creating number gardens and shape-based buildings to solving treasure challenges, discovering patterns, measuring structures, and building arrays, each class gives students a playful way to connect math with real in-game experiences. By the end of the course, students will have strengthened their number sense, mathematical reasoning, spatial awareness, and confidence while creating and exploring their own Minecraft builds.
Class 1: Counting Builders – Welcome to Minecraft Math!
Count, build, and explore by creating a Number Garden and completing fun counting challenges. Students develop number recognition and counting skills through hands-on Minecraft activities.
Class 2: Shape Town Architects
Become a Minecraft architect by discovering and building with 2D shapes. Students identify shapes and use them creatively to design structures.
Class 3: Animal Farm Comparisons
Build animal farms and compare quantities by counting and ordering livestock. Students learn to use greater than, less than, and equal to in real-world scenarios.
Class 4: Treasure Math – Addition & Subtraction
Embark on a treasure hunt where collecting and spending resources brings addition and subtraction to life. Students solve math challenges using visual models and Minecraft objects.
Class 5: Pattern Kingdom
Become a pattern detective by creating roads and structures with repeating designs. Students recognize, extend, and predict patterns through creative building tasks.
Class 6: Master Builders – Measurement Challenge
Measure, estimate, and compare structures using Minecraft blocks as units of length. Students develop measurement skills through exciting building challenges.
Class 7: Array Farm & Multiplication Readiness
Create crop fields and animal pens arranged in rows and columns to explore equal groups. Students build a strong foundation for multiplication through arrays and skip counting.
Class 8: Minecraft Math Quest – Grand Finale
Put all your math skills to the test in an ultimate Minecraft adventure map. Students solve challenges and create original builds that showcase their mathematical thinking.
